Skirts’ TGIF…September 25, 2009

by Charlie on September 25, 2009

This week we said “Good Bye Summer” and “Hello Fall.” For many of us in the real estate industry, this means we are in the midst of the fall buying and selling season. Some are preparing their portion of their company’s 2010 budgets while others are developing their social and digital media plan for the fourth quarter and on. Yet, many of us are still trying to figure out how to have a balanced life.

This week we got news that August home sales were down 2.7% from July which ended the four month run of increases. However, the current inventory continues to dwindle down, so there was a bright spot for us with this news. The $8,000 tax credit continues to be on everyone’s mind and as of today we have only 66 more days to get First-Time Buyers to take advantage of the program. I’ve noticed that some brokerages are promoting this program on their home pages, CENTURY 21 Real Estate and Long Realty, have the countdown on their homepages. If you aren’t actively marketing this program, you still have time.

Congratulations to our Skirt’s friends Susie Hale of FrogPond and Frances Flynn Thorsen on being selected by Stefan Swanepoel as one of the 100 influential and interesting people in real estate, tweepml.org.
